Drum and Dance Workshops 2025-'26
Xalaat Africa will bring our artists to your site to work with students and/or faculty.
Traditional African Dance Class
This class will focus on the fundamentals of traditional African dance beginning with a warm-up, technical instruction, and a cool-down. Classes are 40 Minutes to 1 Hour.
Contemporary African Dance Class
This class will focus on learning Afro-dance, which is a fusion of traditional and urban dance forms, including warm-up, technical instruction, and a cool-down. Classes are 40 Minutes to 1 Hour.
Dance Fitness Class
This class will focus on health and fitness and uses the fundamentals of African dance to facilitate a low-impact workout for adults. The focus is on teachers and staff. Classes are 1 Hour.
Performances
Xalaat Africa Drum and Dance for Life Youth Ensemble will perform at your site for 45 Minutes- 1 Hour

African Dance Class- 1st Fridays/Dance Fitness Class- 3rd Fridays
Our African dance class is a beginning level class for ages 10 & up. Children and Adults are welcome. The class begins with a general warm-up followed by an exciting class with live drumming!
Our dance fitness class focuses on Cardio and muscle toning with live music!
